Vietnamese firms need to improve product quality and research market trends and consumer tastes in Southeast Asian countries and take part in trade promotion programmes there to promote exports.
Vietnamese companies, especially those in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta, should participate in trade promotion programmes if they want to expand exports to Japan, according to the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade).
Trade promotion programmes helped generate more than US$583 million in contract value and transactions in 2017, according to the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade).
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will enhance trade promotion programmes and give more support to businesses to increase their competitiveness in the local market in 2018.
